| | Appropriate Clubhouse Attire Suitable
attire in the Ballroom, Living Room, Sunroom and Dining Room is deemed
to be skirts or pantsuits for women and dress slacks and shirts with
collars for gentlemen. For holiday luncheons, jackets and collared
shirts are recommended for gentlemen 18 and over. The wearing of
shorts by either women or gentlemen in those areas is considered
inappropriate. Informal sports attire, including shorts and warm-up
suits, is permissible in the Grill and on the Porch at any time.
The
wearing of blue jeans is prohibited except when worn while playing
outdoor sports during that portion of the year that the golf course is
closed. Members wishing to use the club’s indoor facilities shall
change to appropriate attire. Children under the age of 13 shall be
permitted to wear blue jean pants in the Grill if they are in good
repair and well cared for.
Golf hats are not be worn by men or women inside the clubhouse at any time. This does not include the porch.
Any person improperly attired in the clubhouse or on the Club grounds may be asked to leave the premises.
Appropriate Sports Attire Pool: Suits
designed for swimming are required. A cover-up and shoes must be worn
when dining on the Terrace adjacent to the porch. Blue jeans, cut-offs
and blue jean overalls are deemed inappropriate pool attire.
Tennis: Tennis clothes are required (cut-offs, running or soccer shorts, tank tops, T-shirts and no shirts are not appropriate).
Golf:
Golf attire is required for all ages and in all golf-related areas
(golf course, putting greens, and practice facilities). Guests are
expected to adhere to the club’s rules regarding proper attire. Metal
or ceramic spikes are not permitted. Sweat suits, cut-offs, blue
jeans, short shorts or running shorts are not considered proper attire.
Women
and girls: Women’s and girl’s shorts must be of Bermuda length.
Women’s golf shirts may be one of the following: regular golf shirt
with a collar, regular golf shirt with a collar and no sleeves, regular
golf shirt with or without sleeves and no collar at neckline. Tank
tops, halter tops and midriff tops are not allowed.
Men and
boys: shorts must be of Bermuda length (2-3 inches above the knee).
Shirts must have a collar. T-shirts are not appropriate. Hats must be
facing forward.
Men's and women's shirts are expected to be
tucked in unless specifically designed to be worn out. Any shirts not
tucked in must adhere to Minikahda's traditional standards of dress.
The
golf staff has instructions to see that there are no violations to the
rules for proper attire. If, in the judgement of the staff, an
individual is in violation of these rules, the individual will be
warned and asked to correct the rule infraction. The indecent will be
brought to the attention of the General Manager. Members are expected
to cooperate with the staff in enforcing these rules.
Use of Cellular Telephones Cell phones must be maintained on silent mode and used only in an actual emergency or at member courtesy phone locations.
Tipping Policy Members and guests are strongly discouraged from tipping any employee of the Club except the car parkers. Caddies are not considered employees of the Club.
Parking The Club provides parking spaces and furnishes a valet parking service without charge (except for private parties), The “no-tipping” rule does not apply to parking attendants. However, the Club will not recognize any claim for damage, loss or theft from anyone using the parking facilities unless the damage results from negligence by a parking attendant. During the summer, the pool lot is reserved for pool patrons only.
Personal Effects The Club does not carry insurance nor does it recognize any liability for the loss of or damage to property of members or their guests.
Smoking Policy The entire Clubhouse is smoke-free. Smoking is only allowed outdoors in designated smoking areas. Cigars and pipes are not permitted anywhere in the Clubhouse.
